The Great Sheffield flood
The Great Sheffield flood occurred on the night of the 11th of March 1864 when the Dale Dyke dam burst. It was one of the biggest disasters in British History and claimed over 240 lives, mainly people in the Malin Bridge and Hillsborough area.
