Velodrome pops up for London's cyclists

StreetVelodrome has been popping up all over the country this year, giving cycling pros and enthusiasts a chance to test their wheels on a mini-velodrome. Lights Out for World War 1

The Lights Out campaign is to commemorate the centenary of the start of Britain's Great War. On the 4 August 2014  people throughout the country turned out their lights between 10pm and 11pm. In Victoria Tower Gardens next to the Palace of Westminster they've set up Spectra to shine through the darkness.

Cinema boycotts Jewish Film Festival

Tricycle Theatre cinema decided to boycott the Jewish Film Festival in order to stay 'neutral' during the recent violence that has broken out in Israel and Gaza. The cinema points to the festival's funding from the Israeli embassy as an issue but protesters believe they are unfairly punishing Britain's Jewish community.

Is Sheffield a cycling city?

The Tour de France was only the second largest gathering of cyclists in Sheffield this year. The athletes were outnumbered by the enthusiasts who gathered for Space4Cycling, a campaign wants to more people choose two wheels over four.
